Billboard Lights

Well today I was walking down the academic walk way and heard 3 loud explosions. I then thought I need to see if there were any kids out there. I ran to the end of the walkway and found that there were no kids out there. There was a massive cloud of thick black smoke. We all thought the worst as there is a gas station right where it was coming from. Thank goodness it wasn't. It just turned out to be the gas tanker that went around the corner too fast and toppled over and the spark of the crash set it on fire. We don't know about the driver...

Grease at asd

Mark and I went to see the production Grease that was performed by mainly expats from Doha. A lot of our friends from school were in it so it was a real laugh to see them up there. We had a great night with friends and enjoyed seeing Nic in what looked like red undies although was supposed to be “track shorts”. They all did a great job. We even went to Johnny Rockets for dinner before hand to fit with the Grease theme.

Sandstorm here we come

Today we had our first sandstorm. It turned out that I was in Jenny's class at the time and i happened to look outside and the sky and air was bright orange. First up i thought have we been attacked. I then went to window and could see that it was just a whole lot of sand. It was crazy. We are all safe and well. It is just under 24 hours since i noticed it but the storm is still cranking... it could be an interesting weekend inside to stay away from all the sand in the air.

Wonderful weather

Yes there is different weather in Doha. Can you spot the difference? These photo's were all taken within 3 hours.

Geocaching

Geocahing.
(Sort of Treasue hunting with a GPS). Finding things that people have hidden for others to find.

Well, we took the next step in our Geocaching career the other weekend. We placed our first cache over here. It was a little easy one in the middle of a thorn bush... We have a bus company over here that is everywhere and this is near their base. It didn't even take 24hrs for somebody to find it. They were really quick, we think that we will be setting up a few more caches as we both really enjoyed it. Here are some pictures of near the cache.
