Marks Back into Hockey again

Well after my visit to the hockey turf over here, I got roped into a training... Wasn't too bad, they were a little unfit, my treadmill work came to great use... Then I also played a game... I played really well and was the only dude that played the whole game with a team of 18 players... I played centre half... It was kinda weird to jump in am be a play maker not having any idea of anybody's names... It worked well and I got to play against an Indian international player and with a South African international player. Either way I had fun and will be back to play next week... Mind you it is starting to get hot again... 34oC today....

When Jens goes away Mark plays.

We Jenny went to Bahrain for a netball tournament representing Qatar.
So i went out geocaching. It was really nice, I went to the very top of Qatar and there was a lot of old abandoned houses. I even got to see some carvings.
I was having a boomer of a time and managed to get 10 caches, until I managed to get a puncture in one of my tyres. I put the spare on but that was the end of the day for geocaching. While on the way home via the hockey turf that I had never been too, I met some guys that want me to play with their team so we shell see how it goes.

Pictures of Dubai

Our Trip away to Dubai

We the weekend just been Jen and went to Dubai for the weekend. It was a long weekend because school was having a friendship festival on the Saturday. We had helped out at all of the events so far so we skipped this one. We Even got to use our air miles to pay for the trip. We stayed in a nice 3 star hotel near the river. On the first day we went to the largest mall in the world. The mall of the emirates. The one with the indoor snowfield, we didn't go on this though. We wandered around and bought a few things.

The next day we went to the Wild Wadi. A water theme park. It was really fun and it was even better as there were no lines. On one ride and straight on to the next.
Later that night we started the mission to get pork ribs...
We had been getting a taxi from close to get the hotel. However I thought that we could a boat across the river then catch a taxi there. It only took about an hour to get the taxi. We got to El Paso a nice little bar/ restaurant. AND they had pork ribs YES...
And the were great. Getting home didn't take long apart from a bit of a traffic jam while in a taxi.

Then we checked out of our hotel and hung out at a mall, where I got some new running shoes (one of the main reasons for me to go there).

Then off back to the MIGHTY Doha. It was a nice trip where we had a nice break.
